GitRepository: raise GitRepositoryError on git errors
Raise GitRepositoryError in cases where CommandExecFailed (from
GitCommand) was previously silently passed forward.
Heavily based on a patch by Markus Lehtonen <markus.lehtonen@linux.intel.com>
